Lammertink-De Pander interieurbouw
Bouwbedrijf van der Starre
A neglected three-storey apartment of about 300 m2. A partially false ceiling, glass interior fronts and various floor finishings divide the space. However, the location offers striking views of Vondelpark, Vondelkerk and the famous home of the architect of the Rijksmuseum – Pierre Cuypers.
WISHES OF THE CLIENT
We want a modern, comfortable family apartment. We have no limitations in terms of the building, but we do want the stately feel of the Vondelstraat reflected in the interior design.
The neo-classic ambience of this apartment is reflected in its spectacular ceiling. The space will be completely cleared and the stucco ceiling restored. A new fireplace will be installed in the original spot and will once again be the focus of attention. We will break open the hallway that has acted as a crossroads in the residence. This will disperse daylight throughout the apartment. The hallway opens onto the kitchen, which is expanded considerably because of the addition of a suspended element.
VIEWS OF THE PARK AND CUYPERS’ HOUSE
The master suite covers the entire upper floor. The sleeping area is separated from a small private lounge by a bathroom encircled with wardrobes. We will create a view of the park from the bath.
